Potential Caltrain Metro East station at Mineta San Jose Airport (SJC)
Caltrain Metro East is BayRail Alliance’s proposal to connect regional rail systems between Fremont and Silicon Valley. The new high speed electric rail line line would be compatible with an electrified Caltrain line and could potentially be used by the ACE and Capitol services.
Why Caltrain Metro East?
- Serves more of the planned growth in San Jose
- Requires fewer transfers to get to the airport
- Better trains than BART at less cost
