SF Community Meeting on Transbay Terminal PlansTime/date: Monday, March 26, 2007 6:30 PM Source: Transbay Joint Powers Authority Please Join Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi, members of the Transbay JointPowers Authority (TJPA) and the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency to learn more about the plans underway to build the new Transbay Transit Center. This new Transit Center will replace the current Transbay bus terminal at First and Mission streets in downtown San Francisco with a Grand Central Station of the West. The project will: * Create a central downtown Transit Center that will connect the San Francisco Bay Area and the State through eight transit systems: AC Transit, BART, Caltrain, Golden Gate Transit, Greyhound, MUNI (including paratransit for seniors and the disable), SamTrans and future High-Speed Rail. * Extend the Caltrain rail line underground from Fourth and King streets into the new Transit Center * Build a vibrant new neighborhood surrounding the Transit Center with 3,400 homes (35% affordable) For more information please visit http://www.transbaycenter.org Community Meeting: 6:30 pm, Monday, March 26, 2007 West Bay Conference Center 1290 Fillmore Street San Francisco, CA 94115 Accessible by MUNI bus lines 22 and 31 The West Bay Conference Center is wheelchair accessible.
